I was recommended to use their service last year by a friend of mine but was really disappointed with it and would never recommend it to anyone ! First of all, they did not point it out all the faulty things, such as the toilet flush not working and obviously there was a leaking issue at one of the bathroom, but nothing was mentioned on the report and I can't believe they had forgot to mention such an important issue in the report ! I wouldn't choose to buy this property had I known there were so many issues in the property itself. Lastly, their customer service was terrible and they replied really slow. They would only replied promptly when they asked the money from you. In a nutshell, don't choose this company !
We had a survey conducted by another company for the previous property and it wasn't even close to what we got this time. I don't know if the rules for those reports changed in the meantime, but we are utterly impressed. The level of detail, the clarity, and the number of photos attached are well beyond our expectations. The communication from my initial enquiry up until receiving the final report was very smooth and efficient. Thank you!

I had a house survey done which was a comprehensive report, my only issue was I never got to speak directly to the surveyor, everything was done by email or phone conversation with the lady in the office.

My experience was less than satisfactory. The initial survey report was delivered four days after the survey had been conducted, and I had to follow up with several emails to obtain updates. To our concern, this report contained a significant error in the assessment of the windows. This prompted us to question whether other crucial aspects may have been overlooked. Consequently, I requested a second survey to ensure the accuracy of the assessment. The second surveyor identified a crack in the foundation that extended from the ground to the roof, revealing a far more critical issue that the initial surveyor had missed. Regrettably, I do not wish to use their services again in the future.

Beacon carried out a structural survey for me while purchasing a house. The report I got back was very detailed and it was clear that the surveyor was diligent in his assessments. The service was a little on the pricier side, but in my experience, you get what you pay for. Absolutely worth it for the peace of mind and promptness of their service. I also like their no-risk policy where no money changed hands until I was absolutely happy with the report.

Initially I had booked with a popular online residential survey company until i realised that they weren't properly qualified - in my view - to undertake the survey as their staff weren't chartered engineers or chartered building surveyors. I then came across Colin and was very glad i did. He is a chartered engineer, available at a reasonable timeline and competitively priced. He was also a pleasure to deal with throughout the process and would highly recommend. And even if you dont go with Colin, just make sure to check that they are either chartered engineer or chartered building surveyor at least so you can rest assured your report is undertaken by a qualified expert. But I'd recommend hiring Colin.
I contacted a number of companies to gain a residential property survey and Beacon were the speediest to respond and answer further queries in addition to being the most cost effective. I agreed to book with Beacon in the evening and by the following morning they had reached out to the estate agent and the inspection was confirmed and completed with the vendor the following evening. The report landed in my inbox the morning of the 3rd working day and was extremely thorough and very user friendly. I would highly recommend.
